I'm glad everyone is OK from auto accidents.
Some more feedback from recent listening:
Wayne, I got the TACET 5.1 DVD, Octet in F major by Franz Schubert. Fantastic. You are right, you feel as though you are right in the middle of the orchestra! Thank you!
I've also been playing around in stereo music with my 3 presets: front only/stereo direct to the T1's, T1's plus T2's surrounds, or T1's plus T2's plus CSXL. For 75% of what I listen to, I love The T1/T2/CSXL combination.. it's so rich, so 3d. However, there's some music that's so delicate, nuanced, so dramatic in transients, that the T1's just say "I got this". An example: "Percussion Fantasia" by Harold Faberman. The comination of cymbals, triangle, tambourine, and sudden snare drum explosions create such a combination of intsruments that range from delicate to just dancing in front of you, and all are RIGHT THERE, punctuated by snare drum transients that just grab you, that I just sit there and am amazed I get to hear such gorgeous music. So, now I test all new music genres with the three presets (T1 only vs. T1/T'2's, vs. T1's/T2's/CSX)L before deciding how to play that particular piece.
I stream "Percusion Fantasia" from Deezer at 16 bits. I just wonder, since the T1's seem to capture EVERY nuance, whether anyone has sampled 24 bit music on T1's, and whether that extra detail is noticeable. All feedback welcome.
I remain in awe of the T1's, whether as the main feature in the T1/T2/SCXL combination, or by themselves in stereo direct, or part of 5.1 surround in music or tv/DVD. I've been relistening to a bunch of DVD's of late that I haven't heard since adding the T1's, and I keep hearing things I never heard before. For instance, I listened to an Andrew Lloyd Webber DVD ("Masterpiece", recorded in china), which I'd listened to on Bose 901's, and my previous T2 based system), and I couldn't believe the richness, depth, and detail I'd never heard before.
Some time ago, my wife said I ought to get a another sports car (I've had them in the past). No, I've never for a moment regretted getting instead a GE based music system instead. I get hours or pure pleasure every day.
