Hi all,
I am purchasing a new preamp / amp combo and I am debating whether I would get a 2 channel or 3 channel combo and include the Supercentre Reference. I have have Triton One R and a Supercentre Reference.
If the Supercentre R is perfectly matched to the Triton Towers why would I restrict my listening to the two Towers for MSQ and not include Supercentre R it in critical music listening?

MSQ? do you mean a multimedia workshop audio file? I've never encountered one but know for certain that file extension isn't all that popular.

As far as two or three channels I've always preferred two channel stereo (or sometimes mono from two channels). If I'm not mistaken most if not all studio recordings of "professional" artists are recorded in two channel stereo.

In your case you would be adding a sub as the center channel. The Triton's deliver plenty of sub bass on their own, IMO.

Best.

I've tried them all, or at least what my equipment is capable of... 2 channel, 3 channel, 5 channel, and 7 channel.

2 channel for me.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Trying music in surround is fun, but stereo is better.
