Quick review of Gaia ii on new old stock Trition 2. Had the speaker over a month now, and finally got around to install Gaia ii. Isoacoustics said Gaia iii will work just fine, but for best result is Gaia ii. Also getting Gaia ii is for future proof for any potential speakers down the road. The improvement was very noticeable, it makes image more focused and bring out more details, sound stage is lot more 3 dimensional even bigger. Only negative I can detect was the bass output has reduced, but no biggie after quick adjustment from the knob in the back.

Overall, I personally think IsoAcoustics works better on speaker than component. I have Orea pucks under my Micromega M100, and the improvement was not that noticeable.

I strongly recommend give a try with Gaia, the improvement might just surprise you.

Hi roni44, thanks for posting your impressions of using the Gaia II isolation feet on the Triton 2 towers. The improvements you've mentioned would make this an easy and worthwhile upgrade or improvement for the Triton towers.

Thanks for your comments about the Gaias on the T2s. I think these are the best thing since sliced bread.

Hi Kib!

First, make sure the Gaia IIIs are compatible with your Triton 2+ speakers. The Gaia IIIs are rated for a speaker maximum weight of 70 lb. I tried to find the T2+ weight on the GoldenEar website, but I couldn't find it. Maybe I'm having a bad day.

The Gaia IIIs should come with M6-1.0, M8-1.25 and ¼”-20 thread adapters. My TRefs are 1/4-20, and I'll bet the T2+ are the same, although I don't know for sure. When you install, you just grab the correct thread adapter, screw it into the Gaia III, and it will screw into the bottom of the speaker plinth. Be careful to not bottom out the screw in the blind plinth holes. Leave a little room for mother.

By the way, the other day we had a Magnitude 6 earthquake about 30 miles or away, and I watched my Tref rock to the side on the Gaias. My heart was in my mouth, but it all settled down with no damage. Whew.
