Hello all hope all is well
I know every room is different but is there a rule of thumb how far Tritons should be off a wall ? Can they be close to back wall ?
Thanks

Antman:
Another Great question, "Tower Placement Against a wall"?

It's fun to go back in the GE archives and read previous threads and posts on various topics. Nothing has changed. What worked then, works now.

Here's a Great thread from years past, "Tower Placement From Walls"...

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Thanks I will have a look first few were re side walls not Back walls . I have plenty of room on the sides
The room is 11 x 16 and I sit the short side due to doors and windows . so with sofa against back wall I am only about 8 ft from the speakers

The system looks great, thank you! GoldenEar Speakers are surprisingly friendly when it comes to room placement and are surprisingly "forgiving" when it comes to boundary placement. We do not engineer a "bump" in the bottom end to goose bass response which can accentuate boundary loading. If the room is being problematic your ears will tell you and often times issues can be corrected by adjusting placement slightly (not always).
The system looks great and I'm sure it sounds amazing. The Rise of Skywalker dropped this week on Disney +, maybe stay in tonight and watch a movie with the family...
Enjoy!

Thanks I am enjoying them for sure !
I am thinking of adding a stand for the center as well to anchor the dialogue to the screen .
Than Tackle the Rears

The stand is a great idea, besides performing well they also look great on a center stand.
If it is an option, you might also try pulling the center channel forward on your piece of furniture so the front of the speaker protrudes ever so slightly past the front edge of the cabinet. This should make a noticeable improvement.
