Been interested in becoming a GE owner but have been wondering about a speaker between the T1 and T Ref given the new tech and price differential. I just saw this: New GE . Is there anything that you can add?

Hi, Gary

Not about to trade in my T Ref’s, but interesting new product!!! Sandy keeps at it, the rascal.

An enticing step between the T1 and the T Ref ‘s. Bet it slots sonically mid way, which is still rarified SQ!

If you’re interested in GEt speakers, either of the above would sound AMAZING, as do T1’s, T2+’ etc. etc.

Tell us more if you get to test this new offering when available.

When the time comes I'll be glad to report what I hear. Of course availability is one of the questions I hope the moderator can give an answer to. Whatever that date it will give me time to sell what I have as my wife won't approve of our media room becoming a speaker graveyard.

I agree Wayne. It seems I always find out about new GE products on other websites. I wonder if these will replace the T1’s if the price difference is only $1k a pair?

This product was under press embargo until the January 8th CES introduction. Sandy decided to release the product early because, get this, it arrived in our warehouse almost 45 days sooner than expected. Sandy was very excited about this product because he felt it not only looked spectacular (the slightly smaller size really makes the Reference-style cabinet look amazing), its performance was on another level (he had the chance to compare them to the Triton One - something we couldn't do with the Triton Reference as there was no same-but-not-Reference model). In the words of the first reviewer to get his hands on them, "I was shocked at the amount of improvement over my reference system's Triton Ones".

Here's a first press posting:
