Hello,

I have been playing with my Triton 3+'s and in movies the bass has been very good but music not so much compared to movies.

So on the receiver I turned the subwoofer trim to -12 then I turned up the gain to about 3oclock.

Suddenly they sound fantastic for music and movies.

Is this normal setup? The book says set at 12oclock at first.

I have moved them out from the walls and suggested and put a small bass trap in the corners as well. All good ideas.

If they sound fantastic to you for movies and music, then I'd say you have found a good setting. 12'clock on the Triton bass dials is a start point only.

Every room and listener preference is different. Setting the Triton bass dials for best music sound quality and then adjusting receiver sub gain for movies is definitely the right approach. You may also find that as the Tritons further break in and "loosen up", that you may want to back off a little on the Triton bass dials.

My sub gain settings are negative also.

Happy listening!
