Hi,

I am trying to set up a 5.1 system at my place. Speakers are

Front - Triton 1
Center - Super Center XL
Rear - AON 3

The amplifier I am using is the ANTHEM MRX 720.

I am trying to set up the speakers using the setup tip give my Mr Sandy. But I am not able to find the setting of Large and Small in the menu of the MRX 720 amplifier

Can some one please help me with the setting of how to set these speakers up using the Anthem MRX720 AMP. I am currently not intending to run the ARC setup. Also for the Triton 1 I am running the bass section using LFE cables.

Help on the setup and crossover frequencies would be highly appreciated for the main , center and back speakers.

Thanks
Girish Gopinathan

"OFF" for a crossover is the equivalent of "Large" on the Anthem.

You should be asking for help from Anthem or the dealer that sold it to you.

Girish,

I'd highly recommend running ARC. It makes a significant difference and it will improve your sound. Unlike Audessey and Yamaha's room correction, you can customize the correction and set the speaker crossovers before calculating and applying correction. I used to keep Audessey XT32 turned off on my AVRs because I did not care for the correction results: not so with ARC. Just my recommendation. Congrats on finally getting all your gear in place!

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hi T Cobe,

Thanks for the quick reply. I have 2 more questions. I plan to run the ARC setup next week once I am done with my travel. Currently I am running LF cables to the triton 1. In the Bass management settings should I set it to Bypass or 120 for the 5.1 set up

My second question is regarding wall mounts units for the AON 3. I checked a lot on different sites, but cannot find a suitable wall mount. I kind of plan to settle for the Videosecu mount MS56B 3LH, but certain sites state that this can only hold up to 10Lbs (although the manufacturer says it can hold up to 23 lbs) and the AON3's being 20Lbs. Do you know of any good mounts available to support the weight of the AON3 that you can recommend

Thanks once again

Girish,

I use the following mounts for my Aons and they work very well:

www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000X9O8SI/ref=mp...RvsFiIitL&ref=plSrch

Regarding the subwoofer crossover frequency, I settled on 80 Hz. You could go up to 100 Hz, but I found that 80 sounded better in my setup. Be sure that this is the subwoofer frequency you are setting. The T1s should be set to full range and flat frequency response in ARC for the front left and right speaker settings. You're actually setting up the speakers and subwoofers separately. At least that's probably the easiest way to think about it.

I hope this is helpful and answers both of your questions. I think you will be pleased with the results of the room correction. Please check back and let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

T Cobe
