Hi Arethosereal,
I can definitely relate to Jonesing for good music through awesome speakers!!!!!
Sorry I don't have a clue as to the answer to your question.
But, to take your mind off the wait, can I ask a question?
How did you come up with your forum name? Are you asking about the tweeters??????
Audio should all be fun.
All the best, Wayne

Hi Wayne and thanks. I see the moderator's response and am glad the wait will soon be over. I put in my order a few months ago after seeing Sandy Gross's CES videos. I also purchased the Peachtree Audio Decco 65 from same videos. I'm running the Decco with Jriver Media Center on a dedicated W7 laptop connected through USB and controlling them on Android devices. The DAC's volume is controlled (on the Androids' volume buttons) with a Global Cache iTachIP2IR device and an Android app called mbhRemote. I'm just missing the "Golden" element, thus the twitching.

The forum name comes from a tag I use alot. It comes from when we moved to Las Vegas and my son asking if the buildings on the Strip were real (all the landmark replicas), and then my wife and I commenting on the abundance of silicone implants observed just walking into the local markets and stores, let alone the casinos. We still get a kick out of it. Vegas is a crazy place (and we're from L.A.).

Hi Arethosereal,
Thanks for the great explanation!!!!! YES, Vegas is crazy, and it says a LOT that you think so coming from L. A.
Good one about the Eiffel Tower and Pyramid, etc. Hadn't thought of those but, I did think there was some silicone involved in your story. Like it.
Thanks especially for the description of your system. My GE distributor here, who has become a friend, keeps telling me to catch up with the new world and use JRiver to play files. I am still sticking with the old shiny discs for now.
PLEASE let us know how it all sounds when you get the 7s set up and running.
That should make a REALLY good system, especially with the Peachtree, which is well reviewed by all.
When I retire and have time to copy all my CDs and dvds to files, I intend to use some file based system, and JRiver is top of the list. But I am a total noob in that area. I would love to hear how it all works out for you.
Can I ask, why did you choose the Triton 7s and not another of their current line? And do you plan to use them for only music, or for movies too? Any plans for a sub with them?
Sorry if I am asking too many questions. Inquiring minds want to know, ha ha.
OK, thanks and all the best, have fun when they get there.
Wayne

Wayne,
The Sevens are going to be used in a dedicated 2 channel music room (my living room). The wife liked the idea of replacing the TV with a water fountain, moving the existing set-up to another room and having either music, water, or silence in the living room. Well, of course I need a new set-up for this, and moving into the 21st century with FLAC and all, I had to get the most for my money. The more research I did, the more this kit seemed to make sense.I think this combo is going to be great. I'll let you know once the Sevens are home and settled in.
