Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and thought it best to register since I've ordered a complete GE system today.
On the 24th of January I will be receiving a pair of Triton One's, SuperCenter XXL, 4x SuperSat 3's. 1pr wall brackets and 1 pr of ssat3 stands. I'm pairing this setup with an Anthem MRX720 A/V Receiver, which I hope is a good fit being on the analytical side rather than warm.
Is anybody else here running an Anthem Receiver with their GoldenEar's?
Anyhow, I look forward to chatting, and learning.
Have a great day!
Brad
Toronto, CDA.

Hi, Brad
Welcome to the forum! Great system you’re putting together!
Lots of folks here who are fans of Anthem receivers. I’ll let them speak to the Anthem piece. Great choices on GEt speakers.
Let us know how it all sounds when you get it together. Lots of listening pleasure coming up.
Rick

Hey Brad, welcome here!!!! Great system, great decisions, you are gonna love it I am sure!!!!!
Not sure why you would want an analytical system rather than a "warm" sounding one, living up there in the cold NORTH??????
OK, Toronto is not that far North I guess, still I bet it is rather chilly there.
I also have the TOnes and I believe they are wonderful!!!! AWESOME!!!!!
But they play very honestly with whatever input they get, they do not color the sound, not noticeably to my ears anyway.
So be sure and try to play the best quality input you can to give them a chance to shine.
You did not mention your front end. But CD quality, or better yet, Hi Res music files, SACDs and DVD Audio, the best, Blu ray music will all give you a very superior listening experience over MP3 and low quality streaming.
Remember: garbage in, garbage out.
There is lots of info on here about hi quality sources, players and discs and files.
Enjoy, you are in for a great ride!!!!!
Happy listening, keep us informed,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi, Rick & Wayne,
Thanks for the welcome!
I'm currently a Tidal HiFi subscriber. Coming from an education and work history in Broadcast Engineering, I have had the audiophile bug for more than 20 years and understand the need for quality in-quality out. Growing up with a father that's an Acoustician whom owned his own recording studio and 53' mobile studio for live to air broadcast has also reinforced the desire for quality over quantity. I learned early on that loudness does not equate to better sound and that you get what you pay for which is what led me to GoldenEar. I appreciate the idea of value. In the past I have owned gear from B&W (Matrix 805's), KEF iQ3 & LS50, NHT 2.3a & 3.3, Cerwin Vega DX-1, Bryston 3B & 8B amps, Carver tuner(2ch), TEAC CD Players, Velodyne DLS-5000R 15" sub and Yamaha Aventage A/V gear. As well has a hand full of projectors from Epson, BenQ and Dell. The rabbit hole seems like it goes on forever, and I'm okay with that!
Last weekend I decided to retire the latest projector Epson 3500, and 120" screen to opt for a 75" LG 4k HDR TV. This purchase definitely assisted with the GE purchase. New vision calls for new sound!
Though it's cold and snowy in Toronto, I'm sitting in my great room a few feet from a gas fireplace. As I am 40, retired, and sporting a physical disability that limits walking, music has become an integral part of my day. I also use my stereo and or planar headphones to meditate and work on acrylic paintings which are auctioned to raise money for charity.
Again, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to tuning my space to get the most from the Tritons!
Brad

Oh yeah, Brad, you are more than welcome here and I am sure you will fit right in!!!!
That is a great background and obviously you know about music and the gear to play it.
Would love to hear more about that new TV when and if you have time to tell us.
Are you into home theater along with the music? Do you play blu ray concerts? They are number one in my books.
Thanks for writing more and telling us about your self, KEEP WARM!!!!!
You are gonna love the speakers,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Brad,
I'll add my welcome to the GE Forum. Your professional audio background is a nice addition to our group. I was particularly interested in your comments about acrylics. My wife is an artist. Her primary medium is pastel, but she also has worked in oil, acrylic, and pen and ink.
We're looking forward to your future posts.
Happy listening,
Art
