Hi Brad,

I just bought an Anthem MRX 720 2 months ago. I am learning to run it with my T2’s. I read some of Sandy’s tips. When you run ARC don’t use the default setting for room of 5000 hz, use 500 instead. The result is much better! And run the speakers as full range.

Hello again,

Thanks for all of the welcome's.

Also, thank you all for the advice, I've downloaded the set-up guide and read the manuals ahead of time.
My speakers arrive this afternoon, I'll be sure to post a few pictures.

Until then, wish me luck with the un-boxing, we have 2 small shih-tzu dogs and 1 of them is 3.5 months old. :)

The unpacking the rears and center speaker is easy but the T-1's will challenge you...especially with the cats. B)

So the big question, are you saving the boxes? If not, you can open at the top and cut down the sides...very carefully. Follow the orientation info printed on the shipper for top and bottom.

If your saving the boxes like I did, take your time. I wish I had written down how I opened the box and removed the speaker. You will figure it out as you go, it's not difficult. Lifting the T-One out of the box takes some muscle but you will make it. I love the fact its a side open box, lots of working room.

Good luck and take your time.

Okay. I'm almost entirely set-up now. The T1 boxes were a piece of cake, opened the face and rolled them over and the box slid off without too much effort.

.*deep breath* -here comes a gushfest.

My first impression of the Triton One's was an experience that I can only sum up by saying:

I shook my head.....
I put my right hand on my cheek.....
I laughed a little, and said holy crap ...a lot
Then, I played a few tracks.
And then, I said a whole lot more than holy crap while I smiled my face off and giggled in disbelief.

These speakers are magical.
The sound stage, the imaging and the ability to pinpoint where each musician would be standing as if they're right in front of me is simply transcendent!

When I can differentiate the lead singer's vocals from the back-up vocal, and it sounds like the back-up is directly over the leads left shoulder, the Triton One is a winner. I have no regrets.

-In the past my wife has insisted that she can't hear a difference but last night she admitted, and I quote: "Whoa... I can hear everything now!". To which I responded: Jesus, finally!

I'll get a photo online over the weekend, I need to get up on the 6' ladder to mount the SuperSat3's. and the great-room is a mess still.

Brad,
No surprise with your first impressions. But it's going to get better. Wait until you have 60/70 hours on them so the speakers break in. IT'S GOING TO GET BETTER!.

Suggestion, set up a pen and piece of paper to write down when you turn on the system and when you turn it off each day. Also recommend that you use FM radio, CD's and movies to help break in the speakers. Then as they play walk into your family room and listen. You don't need to be around all the time.

When the wife would be out of the house for a meeting or grocery shopping I would turn the volume up some....not loud loud, just higher than your break in volume. That way the entire system breaks in at multiple volume levels. Yea I got caught by my wife a couple of times watching a movie.

So how much work to mount those rear SAT-3s?

Brad,
What is the dimension between the L and R channel T-ones? Note Sandy's tip on the spacing. I ran mine about 2 days and pushed them further apart and the sound stage was bigger.

Also, what is the dimension from the rear of the T-ones and the wall?

FYI, many of us found that our automatic management system set the center channel and rear speakers frequency cross over way to low. The center should be set at 80 Hz and the rear at 100 or 110 or 120 Hz. When I ran my management system it set the center to 40 HZ...way to low and the rear at 110 HZ...which I left along.

Have you run any male and female CDs yet?
