Decided to order the SuperSwivel for the 50 surround speakers. Thanks for the tip, Moderator. Ordered them this weekend and I am looking forward to taking down my Def Tech rears and installing the GE 50s.

Over 5 days put 65 hours on the front three speakers with a mix of FM radio, CD's, and 5 Blu-ray movies. The problem, I kept walking out of my office to listen or watch and listen to the new speakers. My productivity was down but who can complain. In my opinion, the sound improved since I plugged them in last Monday.

When I ran the room calibration program, I set the speaker size per the manual and left the crossover frequency to the Audyssey. After saving the results I checked the speaker distances against Audyssey and the crossover frequency. It set the SuperCenter XXL at 40 and I manually changed this to 80Hz. That should take the work off the XXL on the deep bass movies.

I am very happy with the T Ones and the XXL center channel. As soon as the SuperSwivel arrives will get them installed and mount the 50 for the surround. Very pleased with sound quality.

An update to my original post on my new GE Tech system. Yesterday spent some serious time listening to the T-Ones. I have over 75 hours on them now and yes, the sound has changed and the bass has opened up and is now providing the solid bottom end that I love. Sound quality top to bottom is excellent but what really stands out is the smooth mid-range to high frequency. Very natural.

I tweaked the bass setting on the back of the speaker and it's now half way between noon and 1 pm. The Eagles Hotel California in DVD Audio is incredible and the sound stage, at 11 feet apart the sound stage is very wide.

Switched to 5 channel audio after an hour and the SC XXL definitely is an excellent match to the T-Ones. Earlier in the week I was checking my Blu-ray demo movies and the front three speakers do an excellent ... no, an incredible job. Terrific sound.

Tonight I am installing the GE SuperSwivel for the 50s rear surround speakers. Need to get them up and running and broken in.

Finally, I am not running the sub woofer cable to the LFE jacks, just using good quality Audio Quest speaker cables for the front 3 speakers. If your considering buying the GE Triton Ones and the SC-XXL center channel, you are not going to be disappointed. What a solid sound stage.

Besides being toed for the T-Ones I have the rear foot on the center speaker screwed all the way in and the fronts barely screwed into their screws so the XXL is aimed toward the sweet listening position. I have the XXL low under my Plasma HDTV.

Highly recommended and a very satisfied buyer.

All, well finally last week installed one of the 50s for the surround right channel and this afternoon finished the installation and the left channel Superswivel and 50 is on the wall. Turned on the system and adjusted the angle of the speakers.

The bass is stronger from the 50s than anticipated. After doing some shopping on Friday will get out the microphone and calibrate the system for the 50s instead of my Def Tech BPX bipolar rears. Started the burn in on the rears this afternoon.

The moderator suggested that I buy the GE Tech Superswivel and they are pretty good. Got lucky on the right surround and I had had a stud. For the left surround, no luck so I went with the appropriate device to hold 15 pounds. Like that safety margin. I really believe toeing those rears slightly is a good move rather than flat on the wall.

Here are some pictures or the rear 50s.

See next message for the right surrounds.

And here are the right surround speakers.

Note the inward toe in. I was at Best Buy tonight buying movies and I am looking forward to seeing Wonder Women on my plasma but more important, hearing the movie on the Triton Ones.
