Great system you have set up there.

Good job toeing in the surrounds. I would suggest you also toe in the front L and R T1 channels if you haven't done so already since the photos you posted. Toe them in towards the middle of the listening position. I believe that's the best way to have them.

Anyone feel free to chime in if I am incorrect.

To each his own, but I think you are right Steveo!
I have been listening to my Triton towers for several years and just recently improved my system sound a LOT, by moving the TOnes further apart yet (I was worried about the side firing bass panels being too close to the side walls) and toeing the towers in a bit more. It opened up the soundstage even wider and made the imaging really come into much better focus!!!

Hope this helps, God Bless,
Wayne

It has always been suggested, here and in Sandy's setup tips on our website, that the speakers be as far apart as possible and toed in to point at the center of the room. They are not like other conventional speakers that require fairly close spacing to prevent a hole in the middle of the soundstage. Setting them up as suggested will result in improved performance in every category and, as a side benefit, will result in better performance for off-axis listeners.

I know, I KNOW Moderator Dude, I read that many times over the years but I did not really believe I should move them apart to that extreme. BUT when I finally did, I found that great imaging that everyone always goes on about with the TOnes.
My BAD, but I got it fixed now and glad I did!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Steveo, you are correct, the T-ones sound better when toed in. All the reviews state that and Sandy's tips, as the Moderator pointed out, strongly suggest toeing them in. After I had my running for a month I tweaked the toe in using a construction laser light - I was off by 2 feet at the seating position for the right channel.

I also moved the center channel up higher, it was on the base and the cable DVR box was above it. Checked it with my laser light and it was too low at the sitting position. So I switched things around and its high now...the laser light has the sound at the waste. Still low, but I have the center leg screwed in all the way and the front two legs barely screwed into their sockets. Need to re-calibrate the system to see what that did to the volume level. Plus my C50s have not been calibrated. Just finished 63 hour "burn in".

So here are the left and right T-ones. You can see the angle/toe in.

Wayne, my T-ones are 9 ft apart and the sound stage is excellent. In my old Def Tech system they were 8 ft 1 inch apart.

It's been a great day, sold my Def Tech system last night. Helped load them into a van and happily accepted the cash. Wife is happy, part of the deal in buying the GE Tech system was selling $2K worth of items and I am within $400 of my goal.
