HTSME:
Christmas in October, I like it! You must have been a very good boy! Personally, I think Christmas should be year round, if only I could get my wife to "feel the joy".

Merry Christmas, and let us know how those "Bad Boys" sound.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Got the boxes opened and put away on Friday night. Then the wife hits me with a "to do list" for Saturday, so nothing got hooked up. That is Sunday's plan. Can't wait.

Yes, it felt like Christmas picking them up and unpacking.

Friday night got all 5 speakers on boxes. I am thinking of writing a message as to how to unbox the Triton One without damaging the box - found a good system that allows safe removal from the outer shipper.

I just finished reading all the manuals and Sandy's Set Up Tips, yea, I am one of those types and made notes for bass management setting. I relocated the Def Tech left and channel channels to the bar area and I installed the GE Tech left and center channels. Tomorrow will tackle the right channel start breaking them in. Spent most of Saturday working in the yard since it was 75 and it's supposed to rain fro the next 3 days, had to switch priorities.

The easy surround to install will be the right surround. But first check out the attached pictures to understand the change in location for the left surround. I am planning to install the right SuperSat 50 where the Definitive Tech BPX surround is located. This wall is the one directly behind the seating area and faces the wall that the TV is on. I am using the ceiling mounted speaker jacks installed by the previous owner and run the speaker wire along the ceiling and down the wall.

The problem surround is the left surround. Need everyone's input on the location of the left surround speaker, especially the Moderators input. As you notice in the pictures, this surround is aimed down the seating area and parallel to the TV and LCR speakers. It was the only way to install the Def Tech BPX.

I measured the distance from the corner of the wood window frame and the corner and it's just under 5". Held the SuperSat 50 on that wall and it fits between the wood window frame and the corner. Not a lot of play but it fits and won't touch the adjacent wall. Anyone see any issues with this location being so close to the corner? I want to do this so both the left and right surround are facing the wall with the TV and LCR speakers. That should probably improved the surround speakers sound projection. Once I have some input about moving this left surround to this narrow opening, I start drilling new holes in the wall.

Right channel Triton One question. My Definitive Tech BP2000 has the 15" subs facing in, so I had the right speaker 5-1/8" from the equipment cabinet with no impact on sound since the sub faces in toward the plasma HGTV. The Triton One has two Quadratic Planar Infrasonic Radiators on both sides of the cabinet, what is the minimum distance I should keep between the right T One and the cabinet to avoid bass issues?

Pictures below, left, right, and room. I was going to upload a PDF of the floor plan but think this write up will do the job.
