I'm kind of having a problem here with family members who just don't like the sound of the banjo. My daughter's biggest fear is that I'll die and leave my banjo to her in my will. My brother says, "Put those clothes pins back on, ok?" My Mama, bless her heart, finally told me after all these years that she really does NOT like the banjo. She had never told me that before and it just came out accidently, I think, about a year before she died. My daughter in law doesn't like it. Lucky for me the most important person in the world loves it and that's my husband. He even asks me to play for him. So, that means more than anything. I think my feelings are just hurt. I can't understand how anyone can not like such a happy sound. My brother says it is too many notes for his ear. Anyone else having this problem and how are you dealing with it? Does it hurt your feelings and am I just being too sensitive?

NO BANJOS in the Anthem household.
And YES, you're being too sensitive!

We're back from NY, got in at 2 AM Friday due to a delayed flight and missed connection. But all worth it. It was COLD in NY!

Anthem, I wanted to post several music videos of Tennessee Whiskey with banjo accompanyment... thought they'd sound amazing played via an Oppo 205 powered with an AntiCable Reference 3 cord and AC speaker cables lighting up the T REf's!!! .But AOL has "upgraded" ???? to AOL Gold and now I can't cut and paste anything! Based on a Google search, it seems to be a common problem. Frustrating. I'll keep looking for a solution.

On a serious note, Anthem, you've described how the 205 improves SQ via analog out. Do you ever play via HDMI digital out? I'm still curious whether the reclocker they've added for digital makes a big difference vs. 105 digital out. (I play mostly HDMI digital out, for 9 channel surround, and would be tempted to get a 205 if there is a corresponding uptick in SQ for digital out also).

Happy listening!

Hey Rick:
No I haven't used the HDMI settings. My problem is, how do I know for sure if I'm using only the dac's in the 205. The Anthem d2v is complicated.

Welcome back!

Glen Campbell, Galveston. The dude could PLAY that guitar Also!

Figured out how to copy and paste via Windows 10/AOL Gold (right click rather than left click).

Anthem, I took pity, won't post the banjo versions of Tennessee Whiskey. :P

Happy listening.
