Another Tuesday afternoon and just finished up a beautiful set.

The Brecker boys outdid themselves on this one. Every song from start to finish is a masterpiece.
I L-O-V-E this music!!

Equipment used today: Emotiva xpa-1 monoblocks > Primaluna Premium Preamp > OPPO 105 > Blessed Assurance ;)
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

The majestic T2's in "plain ole 2-channel"... sounds sublime...(Emotiva xpa-1 & PrimaLuna Pre-Thelma Lou)
"Three across the front" can only be done thru the Anthem d2v in pcm.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

For the past few days I've had the honor and privilege to listen to a new cd.

Jimmy Swaggart presents...Instrumental Favorites (1992 JIM Records)

Very "well done" with piano, organ, keyboards, guitar, trumpet, bass, drums, and very light background vocals. Favorites include, "There is a river," "On the Jericho Road," "He Abides," "Blessed Assurance".

This is well recorded and very much worth a listen.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Another new addition to the family...

Steve Oliver / Best of so far (2014 Som)

Steve plays Carvin synth access guitars and uses Bella strings. Up until the other day I had never heard of Steve Oliver...apparently he has quite a few cds out.

Thirteen instrumental and two vocal tracks on this one. The vocal track "I Know"...quite frankly is a loser. The rest of the cd is so good I can't make up my mind which song is the best. If I had to choose, "Hello Mornin' " with it's infectious bass and keyboards...or perhaps "Calling You"...or could it be "Fearless"...see what I mean, can't make up my mind.

Sonically...the bass was a bit heavy and did not have the detail I'm use to, but overall it will get your toes a tappin' and that's what counts.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Well Folks. SAD SAD SAD
RIP Joe Cocker.
Go all the way back to Woodstock and be AMAZED at how he turned "With a Little Help from My Friends"
Check out "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" with brother Leon Russell.
Half way around the world over here, I cannot explain to my wife and daughter about what bro Cocker did to a Beatles song, made a "cover" HIS SONG, they don't know who or what I am talking about.
But I say to them tonight at the dinner table, you know the man that sang "You are so beautiful to me"?
They said, yes, I sez well he is gone, passed away now.
[NO, they don't know that brother Billy Preston, God rest his soul, wrote this song, originally for the Lord.]
No need to talk about his duet with J. Warnes "Up Where We Belong" and so many more.
I will miss him but continue to listen to his music, and yes, his rough voice and his gyrations and air guitar as he sings were all a big plus to me enjoying his music!!!!!
God Bless him,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.
