This afternoon I've been listening to:
Joshua Redman / Freedom in the Groove (1996)
I bought this used years ago, I always felt Joshua's sax was overly bright sounding. Today I noticed a price tag sticker on the back, tore it off, and it revealed DDD. Now I understand where the edginess comes from. With the Torii, the edginess didn't completely disappear, but was a vastly improved. With the Torii I'm able to turn down the volume and still achieve wonderful sound.
You are right Wayne, in some discs there may always be some harshness.

2015...and already had my first Eargasm (can we say that on here) Just finished listening to :

Peter White / Confidential -- great bass and thee sweet strum of the guitar.
Bona Fide / Soul Lounge -- great bass, uptempo sax with keyboards...theTorii helps pull out the bass definition on this one.
