Just proving yet, once again, how PATIENT and KIND Juanita is!!!!! Ha ha
Well, Bro, I think your system must be pretty great for your chosen kind of music. I would have said it was perfectly dialed in for vocals, especially the kind of Norah Jonesy stuff that people like to demo their system with. But I reckon it is also dialed in for your smooth jazz sound too. I might have to try and listen to some of that on my system dialed in for small vocals. Actually I put on Lee Ritenour's 6 String Theory to test it out one day. It is meant to be good stuff, highly recommended. I just couldn't get through the whole album. Some OK stuff there, one with Cray and Joe B. if I remember.
I was stuck in a taxi for an hour yesterday, airport to hotel in Jakarta, Indo. The driver had the radio on, I asked him to change the station, he found Adele so I stopped him there. But after Adele it was just pop love songs. "Love is the greatest thing since sliced bread" songs. I could not believe people can listen to this crap, the words were inane, totally predictable and boring as heck. Just my sorry opinion. The the music not noticeable at all.
Walked into the hotel lobby to check in and they had Gypsy Kings guitar music going over the PA. Even that was a BIG improvement!!!! I thought to myself maybe this is why Bro Anthem doesn't listen to songs with lyrics. Who knows?
I like songs with well written, well thought out, interesting, amusing, thought-provoking lyrics (so that does not usually mean "happy as Larry" songs), even painful ones. Instrumental music by itself will usually have to be classical music, for me.
To each (and his lovely, supportive wife) his own.
God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.
