I love the suggestions I have gotten from this board so far, so I feel I have to contribute some. This labor day I listened to Capetown Fringe by Abdullah Ibrahim. Right now I am listening to Almost Like Being by Hugh Masakela. Earlier I listened to Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

On Chris Jones, no, I have not heard that one with Steve Baker, but glad to hear it is good too. I have "Roadhouses and Automobiles", and the sound is unbelievable and the songs are great too.
Normally, in my experience, the really great demo worthy songs are not actually all that great music. Not really what i want to hear. But this Chris Jones is better than that, and REALLY good for demo!!!!
BUT, having said all that, man you mentioned "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young, it just does not get any better than that!!!!!
