Peter: the dac in the Marantz 7703 is comparable to the dac in the Oppo 203.
If U can't hear the difference between the Oppo UDP-205 and the 7703, U may not have the hearing U think U do. Prove me Wrong.

Hey Anthem. Moon Hooch gets it done. Need to give them a listen again very soon.

Having fun trying to configure the oppo and marantz to talk to each other analog-wise. I think I have it. Looking forward to some A/B testing...

A new album delivered by Santa. I didn’t have as big a windfall as Anthem with all the great new gear, but I’m grateful for the new Jazz recordings! Sound quality on this one is very good! No snap, crackle, or pop on this vinyl.

Glad you liked the album! The sound quality is pretty solid on vinyl, but my Dad says the CD is reference quality. That’s high praise from him. I think there are numerous versions and his may be the XRCD version. Let me know how it sounds. I may have to pick this up on CD as well.
