Hey, Mingus fans Anthem, T and Pbgalvin

I've said this before, I am a some reluctant listener to jazz. Sometimes it loses me with what seems like it has no direction (but always with SWEET instrumentals). Other times, it just grabs me.

Well, Mood Indigo hit a sweet spot with me. That's getting streamed tomorrow, at serious SL's.

Go figure. And thanks! :)

Eric Clapton doing My Father's Eyes, with electric guitar. He also has an acoustic/unplugged version. I like both.

BTW, I've listened to Mingus's Mood Indigo a number of times today. The combination of piano, double bass plucks, wind instruments, drum brushing... the GEt's present it so clearly! Love it.

this video isnt really hifi, but if anyone in this thread appreciates phenomenal guitar work, check this out...

As far as I can tell,he is 19,totally unknown....If he isnt mentioned in the same breath as SRV,Zakk Wylde and Hendrix within the next ten years I would be shocked....it takes awhile for him to get going, but damn, when he does its a joy to hear and see.

Hey, monsterzero

Normally, I like unplugged/accoustic guitar better, but this guy can PLAY!

I found three albums by Virgil and the Accelerators on Deezer (The Radium, Live at Marshall, and Army of Three). Apparently they're a UK band. Maybe by coincidence, I got Phished when searching via Safari on my iphone, when I tried to log onto their website. Got to their website just fine on my laptop.

Good find!
