Hey Anthem, Wow love that Sam Jones recommendation of T.V. Land! Come for the horn and stay for the drums and bass!
Ordered the CD to catch the rest of it in higher res that Youtube has.

On another note - inspired by the two-singer opera comparo, thought I'd do something similar.
For your listening pleasure is one of my favorite "how does a male voice sound" tests I do after making any sound system changes, up against "how does a female voice sound" test. The same song - What's New:

I have the Ronstadt in high res, and frank in uncompressed CD rip.

Getting back to listening to piano, checking for brittle / sharp. Testing ripped Stereophile Editors Choice Sampler piano track and they sound great.
Also My Favorite Chopin (ripped) sounds great.
Need to try more discs in the Oppo I guess to try to narrow down the problem. Could just be that specific SACD as y'all suggested...
