Cup of joe and jazz time this morning. Things have been busy here. Time to slow things down.

The Hank Mobley Quintet is a Blue Note release and the one I'm playing is a Rudy Van Gelder Edition. The music is great and speaks for itself here. Sound quality is another story. The soundstage on this one is a bit restricted. The bass lacks a bit of definition and the cymbals almost sound like static. There isn't much to speak of in terms of distortion and the trumpet and tenor saxophone are captured cleanly.

To sum it up, I would say it sounds a bit old and tired. Kind of how I feel this morning... Hopefully the coffee will help. Today is back, biceps, and triceps day in the Mad City and my legs are still screaming from Sunday.

T Cobe : Glad to hear u r back in the weight room. Deadlifting? If u ever feel the need for more/better muscle endurance I have the product u may be looking for. More reps (especially pushups) and it produces better gains. It's a legal supplement that really works...let me know if interested.

Second new album that arrived this week. Another RVG Edition Blue Note record. SQ on this one is better. Only a few songs in and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Anthem, I am doing deadlifts but haven't increased my weight very much. Trying to do 3 sets of 10 reps for each exercise. As soon as I hit that goal, I jump the weight up. It been working well and I haven't been as sore as when I used to go high weight, low rep. If you want to PM me the info on that supplement, that would be great. My recovery isn't what it used to be and I'm willing to try legal supplements.
