Hi Charlie,

When my bride is in the room, I keep the volume low so that we can converse (she prefers low volume for "background music"). Depending upon what I am playing, I may elect to use my second amp to add just a small bit of LFE bass directly to the Ones' LFE inputs. I add just enough bass to create a small amount of bass "punch" when appropriate for the music being played. I listen to a lot of a capella choral music which requires no added bass at any volume level.

I am still using my Cambridge 851A 2-channel amp and I will continue to do so unless it fails completely - even though it is a bit of a pain because of the right-channel volume level glitch. If it does fail completely, I will be consulting you guys for replacement suggestions.

Happy listening,

Art

Thanks

Not quite 30, but not too bad, either.

In any event, it is what it is.

Best,

Art

Now that GoldenEar is part of the AudioQuest (Quest) business group, I'm wondering who's explored the AudioQuest cable lineups and how they may enhance GoldenEar speaker performance.

I haven't tried any of their speaker cable, IC, or power cord products to date. I've tended to home in on Nordost power cords of late. It's a big world of cable products out there, hard to sample all. PS Audio for instance recommends the AudioQuest Dragon power cords as their reference cords, and use them in their top of the line stereo demo room ...

So, any forum members have any experience with their cables they wish to share???

Always looking for gems that can enhance our systems.

Rick
