I am doing similar, non current limiting outs.
I have burned up a speaker ribbon in the past with a surge and, living overseas, fixing these things is NO FUN!!!!!

My Line Conditioner has plugs for cleaning the power up, filtering it, and then some plugs that are supposedly High Current, non-limiting, for amps, like those built in the Tritons. This is where I have my towers plugged in. It will shut down and protect the speakers in the event of a surge or drop in line voltage, and in a heartbeat, but supposedly it gives full power from my 20 Amp wall supply to the speakers and amps. And at 240 VAC here in Thailand, I really am pretty sure we are not lacking in power.

Ok now I understand much better! Basically what you did is what I have done with my T-3's by plugging my cables to the 2 high current outlets in the back of my surge protector/line conditioner. Do you still experience problems with your speakers especially with the higher current and is your power equipment doing its job properly?

No problems with my speakers or with electricity EXCEPT that it goes off nearly every day here. A LOT of times it is just a momentary brown out, and then back, but that is all it takes for my protector/stabilizer to shut down. It has a VERY fast fuse, so to speak.
I thought it would work more like a UPS and keep me running for a min until things were stable again, but NOT. It shuts down FAST.
Annoying but safe.

That's smart to have your system protected especially with the outages. You have great equipment doing what it's supposed to do!
