OK, getting there slowly but (hopefully) surely.
Got the popcorn popper for roasting coffee beans from here in Thailand.
The coffee grinder is on order coming from China.
The coffee beans I will buy locally but I also ordered some Colombian and Ethiopian green beans from Amazon, so they will take their sweet time coming.
Will be a while, but I am nearly ready to take the next step on my "el cheapo" coffee journey.
Thanks for the help,
God Bless,
Wayne

So today we went for a drive and bought some local green coffee beans. My roaster popper is here, but not the grinder yet.
Saw where they grow the coffee on the mountain sides under LYCHEE trees!!!! I guess the coffee likes the shade.
We actually bought a couple of the coffee bushes. Will try to grow them at home, just having fun.
Here are a few pics of the wife, daughter and I on our search.
I am blessed!!!!

Great stuff, Wayne! Glad to see you up, out, and having fun with your family!

What kind of beans did you end up with? I would love to be able to grow some coffee beans but that would not fly here in the great white north.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Well T. Cobe, buddy, I got some Peaberry and some normal Arabica beans that grow on our mountains around here, called Pah Hee coffee.
When the production and sale of opium was outlawed here in the Golden Triangle area the Royal family said, you can't just tell people what they cannot do, you must offer an alternative that will allow them to make a living. So they initiated the growing and production of coffee. So here we are a number of years later enjoying their fruit.
Thanks for the kind words,
Wayne
