well its still in the mail but i have a peachtree nova on the way im planning on using to power my Aon 3's and I was just wondering if anyone has beat me too it yet. Hows it sound. Is it enough power or am I going to need to buy their 220.2 amp to really lay it down?

GoldenEar used the Peachtree to drive the Aon 3 demonstrations for their worldwide introduction to the industry at the CEDIA and CES trade shows. They sounded great and played plenty loud for my tastes.

Should work - we used some standard aftermarket power cables at our last trade show and they fit fine (I think some of them actually came from Audio Advisors).

I just got done auditionitng the Aon 3's on a Peachtree iDecco this morning. I went to the store to have a listen to the B&W 685, CM1 and the Paradigm Studio 20's. None of them excited me. Then the salesman asked if I had heard the GoldenEars yet.
I thought they were for nearfield listening only so I hadn't considered them. WOW. I mean WOW. That combo is unbelievable. I never thought I would replace my McIntosh separates and Dahlquist DQ-10's, but they're going on eBay real soon. Just waiting for the Decco65 to come out any day now. As far as power goes, the 40W iDecco was okay...had it at 11 o'clock and it was a decent volume. The Nova125 comes out in May (125W/channel) and I originally wondered if I would need that for a 89-90dB sensitivity speaker. I'm sure I'll be happy with the Decco65...plenty of power for what I need it for. Hope this helps anybody who's on the fence.
