Correction, mine are HiFiMan HE 400i headphones.
I think most of us love the sound from our Tritons and other GEt speakers because of the HVFR (we like to call it around here)!!!! And the way GEt engineers managed to totally mate in flawlessly into the mix with the other drivers.
Seems like that is a lot of what you may be talking about Em84. And Bro Rick, your being adverse to harsh treble is likely a shared trait with all of us!!!! How they get that pure, clear, clean, detail a resolution with no screeching, sibilant, stridency I just don't know.
For me I hate "box" colorations. I have been a planar, ribbon man for so many years and yet they always left me wanting bass. And I tried mating subs with my ribbons, but it never turned out well. And the ribbons/planars were not dynamic enough. But with the Tritons and SC I hear almost NO box at all. And of course all the dynamics and bass are there in spades.
That is probably why when and IF I go with headphones they have to be orthodynamics or planar types and open back. BUT open back is not gonna work on the plane. Thus my search for CIEMs that I can enjoy.
YMMV but we are all coming from similar places.
And we all love MUSICAL speakers!!!!!!
Happy hunting, God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

We're on it, but I wouldn't wait ... no final decisions or timetable yet.

Thanks, Moderator Dude

Any general direction decisions yet on open back vs. closed back, maybe both options? There's fans for both types...

Thanks!

Rick

I would love that!!! Walking, flying, playing when others are sleeping... I use headphones when other options aren't available, or when I want "just me" to be affected by the SL.

Can't wait!!!!!!! Thanks!!!

Great stuff. Hopefully with a mini version of the HVRT! I'll be happy to be on the beta testing squad :-)
