I am running SONY closed back MDR 1A's through an Audioquest Jitterbug and Dragonfly Red amp/DAC. While I really like the clean, detailed SQ, deep and clean bass, there's a bit of "clinicalness" to the sound. Have yet to find another SQ source I love as much as GEt's.

Hi Rick, I have the same headphones but the bluetooth version. They play up to 40kHZ (HiRes) in wired mode though so I should try them. They've been in their box since I got my Tritons lol.
I'm obsessed with how good the Tritons are. Those AMT type tweeters are magical. I'm yet to find that in IEM's and other headphones but I've got a lot more testing still to do.

Try the SONY's, but matching GEt SQ is difficult at best.
I'm (patiently? impatiently?) awaiting news on GEt headphones. We go North in the summer and I REALLY want to bring "GEt sound" with me.
Good luck in your search!

Yes, EM84, there are a whole bunch of music lovers who agree with you!!
My ears just plain don't like harsh treble. The GEt's are the first speakers I have ever listened to that not only aren't harsh in the treble range at higher SL's, but are SWEET!!! Who'd a thought that was possible! I've spent most of my adult life turning down treble in most every sound system I've ever owned. Not GEt's! Magical is exactly the word!!!

It's those AMT type tweeters. My old man has original Fortura 10 speakers with Oscar Heil AMT's. Of course I think my Triton tweeters are better and he thinks his 40 year old tweeters are better, but his sound darn good for their age. There's a lot more to the speakers than just tweeters of course, but man once you listen to AMT type tweeters, it's hard to listen to anything else ever again
