Very elegant and well-chosen words by Arthur and T-Cobe - thank you. Also thanks Anthem for sharing this info.

I have my gear inside a well-ventilated Ikea cabinet - I guess it's made of MDF with pressed laminate. I'm assuming it's not too bad for the cables.

So I will actively try to keep speaker/RCA cables and power cables separate. It's a challenge in an 7.2.2 Atmos setup given the huge amount of cables, but I will try :)

But! .... is it okay if:

1) quite a few power cables run parallel next to each other?
2) quite a few speaker cables run parallel next to each other?
3) a few HDMI cables run parallel to audio cables? to power cables?
4) a few Cat6 data cables run parallel to audio cables?
5) a speaker cable is 5 feet too long, and so these 5 feets are looped/rolled to fit in the cabinet? (i know that lots of rolled/looped cables is bad, but is 5 feet okay?)

Thanks guys !
