I currently have a single FF5 with a pair of Aon 3's. This is a 2.1 music only system in a medium size den. The area is closed off. The sub sits between the mains. I sit in one sweet spot<The King's Chair> I am getting plenty of SPL's with the single sub. Up to 95dB-100dB my max listening levels.

My question is would I get any benefit by going with dual FF5's?
Because of limited room they would have to be stacked or sit right next to each other.

The only benefit, given you are not seeking more level or dynamics, is reduced room node interaction, which will result in smoother in-room bass response. This benefit would be mostly lost if the subs are next to each other or stacked in some way, they need to be in different locations in the room to achieve this benefit.

Aon 3's $1,000 & FF5 $1,000 with a Sony $400 RCVR which can switch from 2ch to 2.1 with one button on remote-no searching through menus.

For $2,400 this system I think would satisfy 98% of the non-audiophile world for a music system only.

In a medium size room the bass shakes the room I would have to say better than my Triton 2's!

Weiss...agreed...although I think the majority of the world would be satisfied with $100.00/Bo$e. With the right electronics many "audiophiles" could be/and are satisfied with the Aon's.

Aon 2s just won runner up for Stereophiles Speaker of the Year - winner was a tie with a $38,000+ and $40,000+ pair. Hah. Aon 2s are $800/pair. With a pair of Forcefield 5s in a well calibrated system I think it would be better than just about anything you can get for under $5K (that would be Triton Ones, of course).
