Sorry moderator - accidentally hit send ..

I can hear this noise from my listening position at 2.3 m away - as said, is louder in the left. I'm writing this from work so cannot access my rig but later I intend to take a db reading from my listening position and also from 1m on both channels.

It is annoying in quiet music passages as I do hear it, not from only 1 or 2 inches away.

I have changed power cords out from stock standard to Isoteks and back. I have changed wall plug sources, plugged them both into a different circuit via long extensions. I have unplugged refrigerators, microwaves, all lamps, TVs and aircons. Have not yet bought and placed shorting caps on amp outlets and/or sub ins on the T Ones...maybe next?

NEVER use a shorting plug on an *output* terminal. Just unused *input* terminals.

Thanks for clarifying that - more than useful indeed! ;)

I have to go interstate for a while so will continue with testing things out with the suggestions offered here when I get back - many thanks to all.

Hi MrFluffyWalrus. Perhaps I can offer a "work around". After you log on, your post(s) should contain three dots aligned vertically on the right-hand side of the post. Click the three dots. There should be (but there isn't, at least for me anyway) a "delete" option. There is (at least for me anyway) an "edit" option. You can edit your post by removing all text. Then click Submit. That should result in a "blank" post as opposed to deleting it altogether, I'm not sure. Perhaps that is preferable. Barring that, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're insistent (and of course, you have a right to be), you could PM the moderator and/or send an email to the GE support email and request that post (each one is uniquely numbered) be deleted.

Meanwhile back at the original post.....I hope I can find someone that has experience with the Gaia II on concrete flooring or tile, I am 2 -3 weeks away from cashing in on my Amazon points to get the Gaia's for my Triton 1.r's.

On another note I have been researching speaker placement formula's for my room dimensions and found that if I move my speakers out 10 more inches from the front wall (behind the speakers) from 72 inches to 82 inches I should have a great listening position 54 inches out from the rear wall where I have 12 inch deep diffusor panels all across that wall. The side wall dimensions at 43 inches remain the same.

After the holiday next week I am building 2 more side wall bass absorbers that are 10 inches thick rockwool what will be air gapped on the side walls in alignment with the Triton's. Hoping to get some serious bass cleansing!

Hello FST251.

Please accept my sincere apologies for going "off post". Now that we're back "on post", I'm sure you will get the base cleansing that you're after. That stated, I don't understand what information you believe you'll gain by having someone that has experience with the Gaia 2s on concrete or tile floor, that I and others in this thread haven't already covered.
