I have a pair of SSX's in my 2.1 system and currently use DH Labs Air Matrix RCA's from PS Audio BHK preamp. I use higher end Synergistic Research cables in the rest of my system.

I've heard that higher end interconnects are less important in LF transmission in subs.

I originally had Synergistic Research cables on the subs but switched to DH Labs when I moved sub 10' from pre for better placement as I don't have longer Syn Research cables .

That said, I recall better separation, weight and bass clarity with the Syn Research Element cables over DH Labs.

Confirmation bias in your view, or do SSX's respond well to high end RCA's.

We've not spent a lot of time trying different ICs to the subs so it will be interesting to see what the group says. My initial thought is there may be some differences, but I have no idea how noticeable they might be.

I don’t know what power cords you have connected to your subs, but another option for bass improvement is to upgrade to a PC with lower impedance, better insulation to facilitate better clean peak power supply for dynamics. Lots of aftermarket power cords can do this with thicker gauging etc.

Check the power cord thread for comments, brands that impress etc. if of interest.
