I just bought a super sub x yesterday. I noticed almost immediately that the volume of the sub was fluctuating. Once it hits load it shuts off completely. I've had a super sub in my system before and it did not do this. Is this is issue with the sub or is my amp somehow tripping the auto on / off feature? I'm using a Hegel H160 and it does this with either variable or fixed ouput. Curious if anyone on here has any suggestions.

It's receiving power from a RGPC 400 pro and does it through that or directly from the wall.

Nope, never heard of that issue. Just picked it up? Take it back to the dealer, have them confirm the problem in their store and then they will replace it for you. If they can't confirm it they can help troubleshoot the issue in your system.

I've tried with two different amps now. Happens with both. Either my house isn't supplying it with the right amount of power or something is wrong. I'll take it back to them and see if we can reproduce it in their store.
