Would you rather use one GE SubXXL or two SubXs ? How about one of each ? I have one SubX and thinking of going bigger or adding a 2nd sub. I'm very pleased with my SubX as it rounds out the low end of my supersat 60 being used as LCR.

Hi, Halo555

Two sources of bass can help balance out bass better than one.

I’ve auditioned the XXL, haven’t heard the X, but both get great reviews. As a self admitted bass head, I love good, deep, balanced bass. Gotta’ be good though and especially balanced. No muddy non musical stuff. You’re playing in the right sandbox with Supersub options for sure!

Whether you go for another X or a XXL, I guess it’s how much of a good thing you want to add. I’d lean toward two X’s over one XXL for balance reasons. Going for one of each would be amazing if your budget allows!!!

Hard to go wrong whatever you choose.

Good luck and happy listening!

I agree with Rick, two subs are the way to go. Much better overall bass distribution.
Here's a video from Paul McGown of PS Audio that may be of interest.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Thanks for the replies and I watched the video. Could adding a sub XXL cause problems ?

Running a Sub X with an XXL? Shouldn't be a problem. Running subs from different manufacturers could be more problematic. I use an Def Tech 14in paired with an Def Tech 10...great bass.
