Hello,
I got my SuperCenter Reference today which is suppose to be new; Just few hours demo from the dealer.
I open the sock and noticed kind of a thick glue or silicone on each side (See picture). Is that normal? Just want to make sure no special repair have been done on it.

Hi Imclacr, The black silicone shown in the photo is normally used in the manufacturing process of the the SuperCenter Reference. This would not be due to a repair on the speaker. This helps produce an air tight seal within the cabinet.

While I have you, the speaker will naturally break-in after 40-50 hours of moderate playing. The midrange will open up and sound fuller. The bass will extend lower, and the highs will smooth out a bit. Happy Listening!
