I'm looking at a 5 speaker home theater system in a fairly large room (my family room and kitchen are basically "one room"). Looking at 2 Triton Threes or 2 Triton Sevens + 1 ForceField 4 (the center and subs) would be the same in both systems.

Does anyone have this setup and can provide feedback. I was told the Threes would have more bass but the Sevens/ForceField would sound louder.

Thanks in advance

Dawgman94 (really, 93 other dawgmans ahead of you using that????)

I can't tell you a LOT, except that you are gonna have fun and good sound whichever way you go. I have the T3s and they are great. I don't need a sub with mine, but I am not using them for movies. Are you?
Santhosh and others are crazy about their T7s and you will need a sub for them if you are any bass head like I am.
I can't see how you can lose with either system.

Tell us what you decided and how it worked out for you?

Enjoy
God bless the child that's got his own.

(graduated from UW in 1994). Thanks for the comment reply.

We plan on using it more for watching movies than listen to music (probably 90-10). Don't need to totally rattle the house, but need some bass to add depth to the scenes.

The best thing you could do is go to your dealer and listen to both systems. Bring a CD you are familiar with.

I have the T3s in a fairly large room (20 x 30) with 2 large openings (large spiral stairway down and opening to another room) and they play loud enough that I'm always getting told to lower them :) I truly enjoy the bass my T3s produce. There is a lot of bass and it is very clean and tight. I have been to audio club meetings and heard way more expensive speakers with subs that while louder - had inferior bass to my T3's. With that said my priority was 2 channel stereo. MOBrian gave great advice... go to the dealer and listen to both systems. Don't purchase either until you are satisfied that you made the right choice for your ears.

Keep us posted.
