Hello

Is arcam avr 600 a good match for the triton cinema two or will the avr400 be enough?

Any reliability issues with these series (avr 600/400) reported from the GoldenEar Technology dealers?

Hi -

Both would be fine, AVR 400 should be plenty for a TritonCinema Two in a normal size room. GoldenEar used a 600 at CES 2011 that failed on the last day of the event, they used a 400 at CES 2012 that worked flawlessly the whole time. Both sounded excellent. Just one experience though, perhaps other forum members will give you their 2 cents worth on this topic.

First of all thank you for the speedy reply.

I just came back from a demo of the 400 (but only of the arcam receiver not the also the tritons, different dealers here in the netherlands) and it worked wonderfully, no problems at all and sounded really good on a pair of elac's.

They didn't have a avr 600 in the showroom to test but they will bring one for me next week and they also mentioned that the problems that the 600 had were software and for the most part solved.(Also there is a very nice 27% off the normal price which makes this model very interesting)

Can any of the triton users that have the avr600 confirm that this receiver is stable with the latest software and that it make a good pairing with the GE speakers?
