For Triton 2 cinema
Anyone have thoughts on if the SS50's are worth the extra dollars fto use as the rear surround speakers instead of the SS3's?

thanks

If we were talking about multi-channel music then I'd say absolutely. However, since we're just talking about surround sound duties I don't think so. I would (and did) get the SS3s for my Aon 3 system. See if your dealer will let you get the SS3s and trade up to the SS50s if you aren't satisfied. Can't hurt to ask.

Nicer product overall (aluminum chassis, heavier, more full range, might be better for BIG rooms) but kind of big physically for a surround/rear, for most home theater installations. With appropriate crossover settings, there is really no significant performance advantage.

I have a pair of SS50's for surround and a pair of SS3's for the surround rears. I do listen to multichannel music and concert movies, so I appreciate the SS50's as surrounds.
