Hello friends,
I used to have Triton Ones in a listening space with the width of around 15 ft and depth of around 16 ft and and each speaker was placed 3 ft from side walls and 1 ft from the back wall and with Slight toe in.
Now I’m planning to move to a new place with listening space which is only around 12 ft wide and 28 ft deep (it is possible to reduce this long length using extra wall).
I do not have the front speakers anymore and planning purchasing new ones from GE.

My questions:
1. Can large Tritons be used in such a narrow space? If so, are all Tritons would be fine?
2. Can I use less side wall space and more toe in as a solution for avoiding side wall reflections? (so I can keep enough space between the front speakers)
3. Any other recommendation for GE front speaker selection and placement in such listening space?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Don't want to have your question just hang there, so here's my 2 cents worth:

Yes, any of the Tritons could be used IMO, right up through the T Ref.

There is no one right way to position front speakers, the acoustics vary room to room. But, yes in general some distance from side and rear walls helps, and they do sound best toed in some. I suspect we all play for a bit with best speaker positions for sound quality until we find what works in our room. You'll have plenty of room depth to have the fronts well in from the rear walls, and you can play with varying how far from the side walls works best, and at what toe in angle. There's a combination in there somewhere that will sound best to you.

Happy listening!
