Hey Vectra

Great review of your experience!

Nobody can make your budget decisions for you, and both speakers are amazing. Just remember that you will be listening to and enjoying whatever you choose for probably a long time. What are the extra goosebumps and thrill from the T Ref's worth to you?

Good luck in your quest, and happy listening whichever you choose!

No pressure Vectra, but here's the path I went through. Yes, The T Ref's cost more than I had originally envisioned wanting to pay for speakers (I had T1's at the time, and the sound quality was in pretty good territory). But when I installed the T Ref's, the smiles, the toe tapping, the goosebumps, even the tears of joy sometimes those beauties can deliver just put me in a whole new zone. I rediscovered what music can and should sound like. I would never go back. I told my wife the other day if it ever came down to shedding material things, the Goldenear's, especially the T ref's are off limits, they'll leave only over my "cold dead body" :)

I don't want to minimize your budget issues, but it sure sounds like you love and appreciate what the T Ref's can do.

Thanks to all of you folks who chimed in on this thread. I set the T Refs up in my room today and cannot stop grinning. Completely different league from the Triton One. My amps (Pass XA 100 monos) sound like they were made for the T Refs and the T Refs sound like they were made for my room. :) :) :) :) :)
