I hear ya, I had to add a sub, did so (SVS SB16 Ultra) and I love it.
Timecop seems to know your setup very well, I don't so I will stay out of it. I do it differently.
But all the best to you, be sure you get what you want.
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne, I still would like to know how you have your subs connected and configured. I always like to educate myself to the different options everyone uses in their systems.
Thanks for responding.

While looking into your Marantz setup options, consider the following possibility:

If you can set your speakers to a specific low-frequency cutoff point (rather than just to either Large or Small), then your Marantz will send all of the low-frequency signals below the cutoff to the sub output terminals. If you then connect these terminals to the Tritons' LFE inputs, you will be adding extra bass at whatever frequency levels you have chosen.

You might want to try this option before adding extra subs.

Richd, I do something similar to what Bro Art is suggesting above I guess.
I added the SVS sub to the middle of the back of my home theater, I ran a balanced connection to it from my Emotiva XMC-1 processor all the way back there. I set my processor to DUAL MONO so that all the sub 40 Hz signals and LFE signals go to the sub and to the TOnes in front L and R position, and to my T 2s in surround L and R position. I ran RCA connections to the 4 of them, to the LFE inputs. I set each and all 7 speakers (including my SC X center speaker and my rear T 3s) to SMALL. I set the TOnes in front to small with a 40Hz cutoff, so they play a LOT of the bass, then the sub only takes over on the real SUB BASS. I set my T 2s to 60 Hz and my T 3s to 80 Hz, the center channel to 80 as well. IF I remember correctly.
I have bass galore now.
I hope this helps,
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne, I will experiment with what you, Art and Timecop have suggested and see if I can improve or discover a few different variations. Thanks for you input!
