Just hooked up the xpa 100 on the right channel and left the b&k on the left and all I can say is holy s@#t what a difference its like night and day the emotiva destroys my b&k I feel like I have a new pair of speakers now. I know the t7s are very efficient so I may not benefit from the xpa 2 not really sure but now I know I need to upgrade

That should tell you what you needed to know. Was the XPA-100 loud enough? If so, no need for the XPA-2.

It was loud enough but I'm only in a 10x12 room I still live at home with my parents. I currently go to college and graduate this year. I want to buy the best I can now because I know I won't be able to afford it later lol. Thing is idk if I should do the monos or go for the overkill xpa 2 which will work for any room size

XPA-2 isn't all that much more power. Particularly when you look at how much power you need to increase your sound output. The difference between 250 and 300 is minimal for speaker output and there are other factors to consider. The XPA-2 has 45,000 uf capacitance for 2 speakers while the XPA-100 has 60,000 uf just for one speaker. Monoblock amps are typically looked most favorably upon. If you want a little extra juice, go for the XPA-1Ls. My home theater is quite large and I have no issues with volume.

In the end, all of these options will sound great and it is your money. Two XPA-100s will only cost about $100 less than the XPA-2. Let us know which way you go and how it sounds.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Will do, thanks for all your help. I am no expert and it's nice to hear feedback from someone. I'm in the process of remodeling my room when it's done I'm ordering most likely the mono's. Just hope the wood floors don't change the acoustics too much

If you're in a 10 by 12 bedroom, there should be enough furnishings to offset the reflections caused by the wood floor. You can use area rugs to cover large spaces as well.

I'm certainly no expert but am glad to offer my findings. This forum is a great place to ask questions and receive free advice. Good luck and please post a follow up as you progress. I'm interested to hear what you select and how you think it sounds.

Cheers,

T Cobe
