Salesman at dealership says they have had problems with NAD receivers and the Triton towers. Anyone else heard of a problem?

Nope. We used an NAD receiver at the last two industry trade shows and it worked perfectly and sounded great. Small sample for sure but we have heard no reports (Tritons are one of the easiest speakers to drive, so even more reason why there would be no problem with that specific combo). Does that dealer actually sell NAD, or were they trying to switch you off to something else?

I wouldn't put much stock in what a "salesman" says about a particular product. Go on line and see what the "everyday Joe" is saying about the product. If NAD is what you want, buy NAD (everything has a warranty) pay attention to any negative responses about the product and if you like what you see, buy it...if not, look at something else.

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

I think Anthem has it right, there's something else going on there. The NAD is a great choice and has no issues for use with the easy to drive Triton. If you'd like to rat out the dealer we can investigate this nonsense further. :-)

Yes, i swapped out a marantz 6006 for an NAD T757 and it shuts down when driven semi hard. Triton 3's, 50c and two supersats. Sound quality similar, a bit more bottom end with the NAD. Not worth it.
