I live in Australia and recently we are considering to get a pair of speakers. After a good search online and visiting the stores, we found we really like triton 3, it has a sleek look, and the sound it makes is impressive. But the price they give us is 3200AUD a pair. You know it's just 2000USD in the US.

I see on the Goldenear website that triton is not sold over internet, so, I just wonder if there is any way I can get around the dealers and the price I pay is reasonably close to the US price? Besides, I'm not in a rush and don't mind waiting for some time.

Thank you guys~

Welcome Jiang,
Glad to have you on this forum.
I hope you can get some Triton 3s, and stay with us. I have a pair, FINALLY, and they are wonderful speakers.
Awesome really.
But join the crowd. I am from America but live in Thailand. Electronics in America are at a GREAT price, and around the world, sorry folks, you gotta pay.
I lived in the Scotland for 5 years when the Brit money was almost double the USD and prices of audio equipment made in America sold for the same number of Pounds as it did Dollars. I have seen the same with Euros.
C'est la vie. Which is French for "that's the way the cookie bounces".
God Bless,
Wayne

Well, if you buy in the U.S. and import them to Australia I think by the time you pay duties, fees, and transportation, you'll be in pretty much the same boat money-wise, and with no local support.

Not to mention, Moderator Dude, the voltage would be wrong for Oz.
Jiang, where are you in Oz, that is a BIG place?
I would suggest getting the speakers from Thailand IF you did not mind paying shipping and IF GE allows dealers to do that, which I think they do not.
Hope you get em,
God Bless,
Wayne
