I had Golden Ear bill me a new sock direct. I have a pretty good sized hole in the old one from moving the speaker. It makes me sick. I've done some exploritory work to see how this thing is going to go on and have noticed that the material is stapled behind the metal plate that has the inputs and power chord. Does anyone have any experience in replacing a sock? Any tips or tricks to make the job go smoother would be appreciated.

Hi Ben, sorry about the hole. Unless you are Edward Scissorhands, you should be able to move the speakers without tearing a hole. :-)

Sock replacement is a pain the first time, a little easier the next (I've done a few). Usually our dealers do this for their customers to spare you the task. Rather than try to give you a step by step, how about calling the office (410) 998-9134 and asking them to get you a tech support call back for help installing a new sock?
