I have a NAD M33 out to a pair of Triton Ones. While I find using full Dirac via the NAD is somewhat helpful in reducing bass nodes, it also manages to suck some life and sparkle out of everything else while the soundstage squishes into the centre as well (this happens WITHOUT adjusting anything over about 700hz in Dirac). Now, I admit that I may need to become more experienced at setting Dirac curves but after many months trying many different curves I haven't yet managed to crack the magic one.
So, while I haven't given up on that aspect entirely, at a suggestion from someone else I am thinking about using the M33s sub-out feature (80hz and below) and running a cable from each 'out' (there are 2 on the M33) to each LFE input on the Ones and using either:
A) the BluOS sub controls on the M33 to adjust levels, or
b) Do the above with the addition of using a sub-only Dirac curve, again controlled by the M33
...or something like that...
Has anyone done anything like this with the M33?
Thanks
