Thanks for the information. I looked at your linked article. I think there's a misprint on the frequency you were using. Were you using 15.9999 kHz? I think there's a decimal point missing in your article. Otherwise, you really must have ears that would impress even a bat!

You were doing something similar to what I did when I fried my drivers.

You're welcome, Charlie. And thank you! You are correct. There is a misprint on my web page. Instead of "159999 KHz", it should read "15999 KHz". I'll make the update sometime soon.
