Hi Guys, I have been using Triton's 2 for a while, hooked with Rotel RA 1570 Integrated Amp (2 Channel Stereo). Quite Happy with the Sound and Performance. I have been planning to upgrade to 5 channel system for a while and have already brought SuperCenter X/XL and Triton's 7 for Surround speaker.

I intend to use Triton's 2 as front speaker powered by my Rotel RA 1570. The configuration that I have in mind is

Apple TV ---> AV Receiver --> Super Centre X and Triton's 7 for Surround. I intend to hook-up my AV Receiver to my Rotel RA 1570 through pre-outs --> Rotel Amp RA 1570 --> Triton's 2
Cambridge Azur CD player --> Rotel Amp RA 1570 --> Triton's 2

I am more off a stereo guy, but with no optical port on the latest Gen Apple TV, I need to bring in AV receiver into the equation to allow me to stream music to Triton's 2.

Any recommendations on the AV receiver please, budget about USD 1-1.5K. Will prefer sleeker receivers if possible. I have looked at Denon, I will have height issues placing them on my Hifi rack. At best I can look at 5.5/5.75 Inch.

Hi Guptgaur, I think you'll find that high quality, high-current receivers from Anthem, NAD, Yamaha, Denon, and Marantz would work quite well with your GoldenEar loudspeakers. In addition, your Rotel RA1570 should do a great job of driving your front left and right Triton Two loudspeakers. Happy Listening!

Infact, while carrying out further research I came across Emotiva. The reviews seem to be good. Any experience with GE’s?

How about if I use XMC 1 (7.2 channel pre amp) and feed into BasX A5 power amplifier to drive my GE speakers? It seems to be perfect audiophile solution.

Hi Guptgaur, the Emotiva XMC-1 pre-amp processor and BasX A5 amplifier should do a fine job when used with GoldenEar loudspeakers. Enjoy!
