Hi all,

I've recently acquired a set of Triton 3's, and loving them so far. I have two separate amplifiers for 2.0 channel vs 5.1 channel. I was wondering if there would be any issue in simultaneously running LFE lines from my surround sound receiver, while having speaker wires running from my two channel amplifier, and obviously not using both amps at the same time? I would like to use the subs in the Tritons for my 5.1 system when needed, and wondering if any issues having both connected simultaneously? Or would I have to plug/unplug each time I need to switch sources? I already have a separate 5.0 speaker system, and no subs, so wanting to use the Tritons as a stand in for subs when necessary. Or is that just not a good idea at all?

TIA!

Hi MJ1966, From a logistics and electronic standpoint, it would be quite acceptable to connect an LFE subwoofer cable from one system and a set of speaker wires from another system to the Triton Three towers simultaneously. This will not cause any harm to the towers, the 2-channel amplifier or the pre-amp processor/receiver. Happy Listening (to both systems)!
