So just finished my HT by adding pair of T5 for the front. I started with 5 of the Sat50 but felt they were a bit light for 2 channel music listening. I have a pair of TRefs upstairs in stereo room so probably a bit spoiled.

Anyway the T5s are great and then I moved to the sat50 to the back so I have rear surround and rear back. I also installed 4 525 ceiling speakers for the Atmos effect. Everything sounds great - using a Yamaha 2080 receiver - but I feel the center channel could do with a bit more depth. Any thoughts on the center channel series?

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary

I didn't want to see this sit without a response.

Everything's an opinion, but here's mine. Any of the SuperCenter series will add depth and bass oomph. And the further up the series you go, the more of both you will get. You have the T Ref's, so you have experience with what that technology level can do, and add to listening pleasure.

I personally wouldn't worry about adding "too much" SQ to the center channel, so critical to surround enjoyment and dialog clarity. If budget is not the deciding issue, I would want the SC Ref there. Any of the SuperCenters would play and match well, but the Ref is the top dog for good reason.

Just my opinion.

Happy listening!

Rick.

The SC XL would work well, but since the center channel speaker does the brunt of the work I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend the SuperCenter Reference which will handle things with ease - and great sound.
